¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
Don’t put your life in someone’s hands, their bound to steal it away.
For all their faults, he supposed, humans did get one thing right: the concept of every man for himself. But why, then, when the concept supposedly originated among the mortals, did so many of them ignore it? So trusting were the fools, so easily manipulated, and so weak. Mercy was a sign of weakness, after all, and those who showed mercy to another put themselves in danger. Naguri tended to be quite fond of the concept of every man for himself; after all, there was no one he considered worth his effort.
However, it was a true pity that this man could not have said the same, a true pity indeed. Yellowed tongue flicked out across scaled reptilian lips as they spread into a grin. Fresh blood, both that of his own and the mans, stained his darkened fangs as they were revealed in the smirk; his own blood came from the thin layer of tissue which grew over his fangs; it was what fed the Sanchuudoku and Gekidoku, that, in addition to his own demonic energies; but neither could exist without his own blood being so naturally present within his mouth.
But that was not the prominent taste; no, now was the taste of human blood within his mouth. Naguri stood before a rather gruesome scene of the remains of the afore-mentioned man, the river raging behind him as his tail lashed from side to side in excitement: the excitement of a finished hunt, and a hunt soon to come. This man was nearly finished, and the youkai’s hunger was insatiable. Tongue flicked again out of the youkai’s mouth as he chuckled, his sapphire eyes staring off upriver, where the girl had run.
Gaze flicked down to the remains before him; such a fool, the man had been. ‘Take me!’ he had cried, ‘have mercy, let her go!’ Pathetic fool. Oh, Naguri had accepted his offer; why turn down the request for a good meal? But the man had needlessly sacrificed his life; the girl would be his in the end; every man for himself, after all, and Naguri was not going to weaken himself by keeping a promise to a dead mortal.
And what of the girl, trusting that she could just run off and him leave her alone because this man gave his life for her? Equally foolish; though she wouldn’t live long to regret her decision. As soon as he had finished here, he would make a point of hunting her down and toying with her before the end; after all, where was the joy in hunting such pathetic creatures if he couldn’t have a little fun?

Sesshoumaru was walking down the river path alone during the night. Once again his companions had fell asleep so he can have sometime alone to simply think of what he should do next. So far he has the sword that he had always wanted so was it strong enough to kill Naraku? Most likely not, he would just regenerate after all. He had always done that so what he needed was more power. Yes he was power lust but isn't everyone like that? The lust for power in order to become stronger for some reason? Hmm, is that the reason why the Shikon no Tama exist? The reason being the fact that the lust for power made it come into existence as 'fate'? Of course it was.
The rushing of water was quite loud in the daryoukai's ears. It was loud as the water would splash at the small rocks in the way. How strange it was, to simply hear it coming as if nothing can stop it. He also saw some fish that Rin and Jaken had miss for the night. Starring at one peculiarly it ran away. Hmph, smart fish, it knew when to run especially from a youkai unlike humans. He didn't do anything as he turned away from the river for a moment to look down at his sword. His right hand was on it, his only hand left thanks to Inuyasha that is.
His head then perked up when he caught a scent of youkai. Soon the youki started coming too. Normally though human can't see it but youkais can. Some can though but they were mainly monks or mikos. Walking towards the scent he got ready to fight if he had to. Each step though was almost silent as usual but yet it was quick because of his speed. His eyes adverted towards the wood only to see the youkai. As the moon luminescent up at the night sky he stared at the figure in the woods. Simply staring for a while before turning around. It was a simply ryu youkai, nothing he had to worry about. Sure they were strong but none of them had ever made it to noble. Heck one of them was even his pet!
Walking away from the youkai he started to head back to where his camp was. He didn't want them to wake up to find him missing. Also sometimes Rin might wake up having a nightmare and then she would simply start crying to find him not there. It was strange, just one person gone and you start acting emotional. That was what happened once for him anyway. The fact that his mother's hell hound took them into hell in where her death came. You can never toy with a life huh? If you can't toy with a life then how can you throw one away? What was his father thinking when he gave up his life like that? The question was always in his mind no matter how much he tries to shrug it off.
Almost being there he caught a scent of a new demon. Closing his eyes he sended his youki to warn demons not to come near him or else death was almost guarantee. It usually works because he was the lord of the land but there were sometimes 'idiots' that actually think they can kill him though. Hah, they simply died, by his hand. Of course he had to make sure he doesn't do it near Rin or else she'll have a nightmare or start screaming. Humans, why were they afraid of blood so much? Maybe it was just girls since samurais seems to be okay with blood. Wait, no that miko around Inuyasha isn't afraid blood. It might just be something young people are afraid of.

((Hm, I’m wondering why he didn’t notice the scent of all that blood; I put that in there for a reason xD)) ˇ˅ˇNagurikorosuˇ˅ˇ ˇ˅ˇHave you heard the newsˇ˅ˇ ˇ˅ˇThat you’re dead?ˇ˅ˇ ˇ˅ˇI think they neverˇ˅ˇ ˇ˅ˇLiked you anywayˇ˅ˇ
And darkness is fading in, and darkness is real.
Darkness was not just a thing which came in the absence of light; no, darkness was what could taint a person’s soul. Of course, there were always the foolish naïve few who believed that no one could be truly dark, but Naguri knew different. He knew first hand, for whose soul was better to judge such things by than one’s own? Ah yes, one could truly have a dark soul, one which would lead that person to do horrible things, like scaring young girls…
But we’ll come to that later; at the moment, Naguri was simply finishing this course of his meal, looking forward to the following course: the girl who was likely still running; but that would just make things more interesting. However, he would not get the joy of that interesting hunt, for certain demons just simply didn’t seem to have any manners at all; after all, it was so rude to interrupt one’s meal.
The pulse in the environment of another demon’s youki was easily recognized by the komodo, and the wind permitting, he would soon catch the taste of the youkai’s scent. Reptilian head lifted from the meal, blood tingeing his lower jaw now, as his darkened tongue flicked out of his mouth. Ah, yes, there it was; a cute little puppy out for a stroll. And what was this? Further along, a little toad, and a young girl. Could it be that this youkai traveled with these two pathetic beings? Was that why he had scent the warning? Pah, then he showed weakness; much better to think that he was warning others away from his prey, but Naguri didn’t hold much hope for others; after all, they were all weaklings to his highly experienced eyes.
But weakling or not, a youkai would be far more interesting than a girl running off up the river; and humans never did run far enough…Naguri could spare the time before the hunt for a little fun. Fangs were bared as the youkai’s reptilian lips spread into a grin, his heavily clawed hands dropping the piece of the remains he had been feasting on.
Four heavily muscled legs worked to swing the demon’s rather massive bulk around towards the other youkai, dragging his underside as he went. Now this was just worthless; the cute little puppy was probably weak, but he’d be bloody fast if experience could teach a dern thing. Tongue flicked out once more, getting the taste of the other youkai, before he set his demonic energies to work.
The transformation between forms could happen very quickly, and even quietly, if one was old enough to have practiced it many, many times. Naguri had spent much of his lengthy life changing between forms; after all, the battles he fought rarely were suitable for just one, single form. He had gotten the transformation down to the last detail, and only moments after his grotesque form had been covered in a thick cloud of putrid scented, blood-red gas, he emerged from the cloud on two legs, rather than four, and it dissipated with hardly a trace.
Grunting again at the prospect of using this form, Naguri checked that his sword was securely held by the belt at his waist, and then set to tracking down the lost doggy. The last taste of his scent Naguri had caught, the dog had not been far down the river; it would hardly take him any time at all to reach him in this form. Now all there was to see was if the doggy knew he was coming.

Footsteps Sesshoumaru could hear it and knew that it was not his. The pattern was off from the one that was his. Great, another pathetic youkai thinks that he can kill the lord. A sigh escaped his lips as he started to go across the river in order to lead the stalker away from his camp. His eyes were narrowed and waited till they were in a secluded area with no one around at all. He hate those kinds of youkais. Just because his father died because of a human didn't mean that his son was going to do the same thing. No, he will make sure to never make that mistake! He will live in order to build his empire!
Amazingly even with all of these thoughts his face didn't falter nor did his movement. The training he had during childhood had became something that he can never get rid of. Moving down the path way he soon became a small white ball. It was the fastest way for him to travel as he zoomed past the forest just like a bullet. There, that was the place he wanted to stop. The glow slowly stayed barely inching from the ground and disappeared revealing the daiyoukai's human form once again.
The breeze was soft tonight and it really calmed the lord down from all of his thoughts. He really didn't want to come to this place once again though. He hated it so much as it was the part of his past that he can never get rid of. This was where he started to hate his father and looked at him as an idiot for a youkai. Yes, this was the place where he had heard the news of his father leaving him. He was simply training harshly at himself to not let his family down and now look at what he got. Hmmm, maybe that was the only scar his father had truly given to him. That was why he wold never abandon Rin like how his father abandoned him. The only thing the man left him was the sword his hand was resting on.
Sesshoumaru can hear it once again. How he heard the news from one of his servants. Still his face didn't falter. He wouldn't show weakness or anything else. Only to weak let their emotions get the better of them. Closing his eyes for a bit he tried to get rid of the memory that will always be in the back of his head. Right now he wanted to simply destroy all of the trees but he won't. He needed to stay calm and simply wait till the demon come to him. Hmmm, this is almost like a game of cat and mouse but was he really the mouse? If he is then the cats are really running away from the mice in fear instead of the other way around.

¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
If you want to get out alive, oh, run for your life.
Ah, yes, so the little doggy wasn’t deaf after all, and what was this, instead of stopping to face who he knew was following him, was it that he chose to run? Or was it something else? After all, the little doggies of these western lands weren’t rumored to be cowards; but then again, rumors could always be wrong. The youkai smirked, stopping for a brief moment where the trail changed; it was a good thing he still had some ability to taste the air in this form, or else he’d have never noticed. Reptilian tongue flicked out of human mouth, a rather odd scene as the youkai tasted the air.
Oh, so that was why he had changed courses. Oh how fun, how fun; he was travelling with the little human, and the toad, for he had been following the direction their scents came from, and now had altered his course away from them. Well, well, there would be time for scaring little girls later; for now, Naguri would play the little doggie’s game.
The komodo changed courses, following the new one towards the river; perhaps the doggie sought to throw him off the trail, but it was too bad that he didn’t have to sniff the ground like some dog; he could taste the air, and air travelled over water as well as it did land. He reached the river, sapphire eyes peering across it as he shook his head; he did wonder how the little doggy had made it across, it must have been hard for him. As for Naguri, however, well, swimming comes naturally to komodo dragons. He let out a short bark of a laugh before he lurched forward, leaping into the rushing water. Within moments he resurfaced, swimming like a fish through the current until he reached the other side.
A gloved hand reached up to pull his hair back from his face, a smirk showing on his lips as his demonic energies extended through his body and into his clothes, causing the water to immediately bead and roll off, as though off the scales of a reptile. Indeed, scales, had their good points, to be sure. The komodo again picked up the dog’s trail, and he set off once again after the other youkai.
It was not long before he came across the serene clearing where the youkai had chosen to halt; heh, serene, not for much longer. There, standing in the clearing with his waist-length hair caught in a breeze; that must be him. Pah! And here Naguri had hoped for some fun, perhaps for a challenge. From this girly man? Not likely. But still, beggars could not, sadly, be choosers; he would settle for this, after all, girly or not, this was still a youkai.
“Well, would you look at this, a little lost puppy, all alone. You might consider running, little doggy; here there be monsters,” he hissed, stepping forward and approaching to within two yards of the other youkai, his left hand resting lightly on the hilt of the Dokuja, his head tilted to the side and a haughty look on his tattooed face, “But what’s this, can’t the doggy run? Oh, that’s right, the poor thing’s a cripple,” he hissed coolly, a harsh grin on his face.
“Did you know what used to be done to crippled whelps? They used to put them down; I can’t imagine why they would have stopped that, after all, it was such a good practice,” he paused, chuckling quietly, “so, little doggy, was that why you ran off? I only ask because you don’t seem to have a master, and dogs shouldn’t go without owners. Tell me, was he going to put you down for that arm of your? Oh, I’m sorry, I of course meant that empty void where an arm should be,” he hissed, watching the other youkai and grinning maliciously.
There was no honor in starting a fight himself, after all; he would not have it said that he went around killing those weaker then him; let the other take the first swing, it merely took the right amount of coaxing. And if they didn’t wish to fight? Well, there was hardly any fun in that, but he could still taunt them, and then he could go about his business when they grew old. After all, one might call him a spoiled child; he was never happy with one toy for very long…

“so, little doggy, was that why you ran off? I only ask because you don’t seem to have a master, and dogs shouldn’t go without owners. Tell me, was he going to put you down for that arm of your? Oh, I’m sorry, I of course meant that empty void where an arm should be,”
Sesshoumaru turned around and glared at dragon youkai. He showed little signs of anger as he stood there. The wind rustling as the wood whispered to each other. He can sense it, the strong youki resonating from within the body of his opponent. Still his gaze did not show anything except for the small hint. A lost doggy? Heh, this guy didn't know who he was dealing with at all. He had no need for a master but that was not what made him angry. It was the last sentence, the empty void of his left shoulder. That pathetic hanyou, Inuyasha was no master of his! No one was his master anymore! Gripping tightly onto the his father's fang he was planning his strike. Trying to find a way on how to end this battle quickly but yet painfully for the youkai.
Quickly reaching the solution he let go of the sword and his index and middle finer flickered out. Sending his youki into his fingertips he send out a whip of light towards the youkai's body. This battle would had been much easier if he had his arm back because then he could also send the poison out from his palms. Thanks a lot Inuyasha, for cutting that arm and stealing that sword! His golden amber eyes reflected the whip that he had sent out. Let see what this youkai was made of.
Once again it happened, every time he fought a youkai! He didn't let it bother him too much though as the scene replayed in his head. His father's question was asked once again that day. The day where the hanyou died from his ashes! His whip then started to try to circle the youkai as he was testing on how fast he can jump before it constrict him. 'Who do you wish to protect?' those words appear again and he knew the answer. He had no one to protect! He was a daiyoukai who did not need anyone to protect! It was not needed on the path of conquest that he walks upon! No what he needed was just power so why does the question always pops up!
Raising his arm into the air the whip went up towards the sky before he stroke it down onto the ground towards the demon causing small debris towards him also. Mentally he cussed at himself and his father who had caused the memory in the first place. Shrugging the thought off for a bit he dashed towards the demon even in the debris and smoke. He had already caught onto the scent so it would be very easy to find him. He got ready as when he saw the small shadow his claws glowed green trying to strike his poison claw into the youkai's chest. It was a quick movement and that was why he was Sesshoumaru the daiyoukai of the west! The one that will be stronger than InuTaishou! He thought to himself as he looked at where his target was.

¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
You’ve got nothing to lose, don’t be afraid to get down.
Oh, now this was hardly any fun; no response? How sad. So, the little doggy wanted to get right to the point, did he? Well, fine; the battle was where the fun was anyways. He smirked as he watched the formation of the golden whip; now that was hardly a weapon for a man to use. Pathetic. Left hand slid down to the meeting of guard and sheath, and he flicked the guard up, sliding the sword partially out. In one smooth motion he caught the hilt of the katana in his right hand and pulled it from the sheath, dropping into a battle-ready stance; he may as well toy with this little doggy for a while, fight on his terms: in human form. But Naguri knew it would only be a matter of time before he used his favored form; not many opponents were so brave when facing a solid ton of scaly beast.
The Dokuja pulsated slightly as the youkai sent his energies into the sword, and the blade darkened with the saliva which is so plentiful in his other forms. Sapphire eyes followed the whip as it came near, and the youkai brought his katana up to meet it, blocking it coolly, looking as though it were effortless, though it took more speed to succeed than Naguri was used to. Bah, this was hardly his type of combat; this foolish coward and his bloody ranged attacks.
The whip soon changed tactics and encircled the komodo, but he merely smirked; as if. Anyone with half an eye could see that one coming a mile away. The dragon held his ground until the last moment, then simply jumped from the whip’s clutches; he might as well enjoy the speed he had in this form while he was in it.
“I do tire of this so-called weapon of yours; can’t the doggy fight like a man, up close?” he hissed as he landed, watching as the whip was sent out towards him again, striking the ground this time rather than his blocking sword.
What a cheap tactic! Honestly, this guy was a complete sissy! As if mere rocks were going to bother him. He didn’t even flinch as they struck his form; even as a human, his hide was thick, and this hardly came close to hurting. And a bit of dust? Pah; komodo dragons hardly use their eyes anyways. Reptilian tongue flicked from the youkai’s mouth, catching scent of the dog; it was much closer. Naguri swung the Dokuja up and out, meeting the dog’s claw head on in its attack.
“Now that’s hardly a way to behave, running about in the shadows and attacking like a coward,” Naguri hissed, “Has that little human girl you travel with rubbed off on you? Well, if her scent says anything, it speaks greatly of how good she’ll taste. Once I’m through here with you, I may have to catch myself a little snack.”
The komodo grinned viciously; if his assumption had been correct, and he was quite sure that it was, then this would quickly anger this youkai; an arm certainly wasn’t the only thing he was devoid of, but there were ways to make anyone angry, and an angry demon makes stupid mistakes.
Lunging forward, Naguri swung the Dokuja up and around towards the youkai’s left side, where there was no arm to block an attack, a smirk on his face the whole time; if he hit, then the Sanchuudoku would certainly do its work well; after all, the bacteria never failed him so long as it hit its mark. And with no arm, how was the little doggy going to block? Unless he planned to jump away like a coward.

As Sesshoumaru's claws made contact with the sword a loud clang can be heard. His ears picked it up very easily. Hmmm, so this youkai actually have a pretty good reflexes and sense. Now what was he going to see next. He stayed calm now as he entered battle, it has become something that just happens. A force of involuntary action. Yes, that was what it really was, something that he can't control from all those times training in order to mask his emotions. As he tried to push the sword a bit he knew that he had to be careful of another attack. He can't let his guard down right now or else he would already be assured to lose very quickly.
As the other sword was swung towards him he let go of the sword his arm was holding and simply jumped up. He didn't jump away though as he wanted to land on the sword. While in mid air though he grabbed out the tenseiga getting ready to use it. What a pest this youkai was picking on a battle with the lord. Still as he was floating up in the air he started to transfer some of his youki into the sword. Of course he made sure not to put in too much that it would be noticeable. He wanted it to be a surprise. That was why he also transfered youki into his two fingers. He was able to still hold the sword though with his remaining three finger.
Quickly the daiyoukai pushed his body down to be able to land make an impact at the sword before sending out a whip aiming at the other hand. They were quick movements that was almost a blur to most youkai's eyes. He had to make sure that he doesn't do anything that would cost him the battle so he had to plan out his movement slowly. HIs amber golden orbs looked directly at the sword. If he can get the arm then the weapons will be useless and he can end this battle.
As usual his intelligence and quick analysis had showed him the enemies weakness. He was dependent on the sword so if he can make sure that they weren't usable then the enemy is all his. Also his swift movement and training in order to become stronger than his father. The youkai that died for a pathetic reason! The void on his left shoulder was caused by something he saved. The same thing that dishonored the family but now he didn't care about it anymore. After all his father had already shame the family in the first place.

((Ah, no comment on Naguri’s mention of Rin? Darn xD)) ¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
You’ve got to fight just to make it through, ‘cause I will be the death of you.
Now that was hardly a valiant thing to do, jumping like that; so pathetic. The youkai sighed quietly, his sapphire eyes following the form of the dog in the air; he supposed they couldn’t all be good combatants, and the world was full of cowards, after all. And what was this? Pulling a sword, now, was he? Hmph, as if that would save him. But what was this? Perhaps the pea-brained dog had some intelligence after all. Sapphire gaze followed that of the dog’s golden eyes to his own sword. So that’s his plan, eh? Well, let us see where this plan would take the battle.
Things happened very quickly once the dog had begun his descent: Naguri caught some feeling of the other youkai’s energies at work, but it was in trace amounts and difficult to tell where at, so ignored them, concentrating instead on the quickly approaching form of the dog. Even in this, his fastest form, battling both gravity and a faster youkai’s speed was to fight a loosing battle; Naguri simply stood his ground as the enemy came towards him.
When foot met sword, the force following the sudden halt of the dropping demon was quite immense, and the Dokuja ripped from the komodo dragon’s hand. Sapphire eyes watched it in passive surprise as it fell, then flicked quickly back to the youkai as the whip came towards him. Gathering himself, the youkai leapt, but was too slow; the whip hit, striking his forearm as he attempted to block. A quiet grunt was the only acknowledgement of the wound, as Naguri landed several yards from the dog.
At a time such as this, unarmed and bleeding, one might expect the youkai to be worried. Instead, his teeth showed in a dark smirk. “That was a neat trick, doggy; now let me show you one of mine,” he hissed, his energies gathering and running along the paths of his body.
Just as the transformation from his secondary form to human had been a swift one, so, too, was the reverse. Still, it was not immediate, as his partial transformations were; these things took time, it was simply a matter of how much. The fumes began to spread, emanating from his skin as it darkened to mottled red, orange and black, hardening as it did. The smirk remained in place as Naguri’s head transformed, his teeth becoming large fangs, his mouth elongating into reptilian features, his hair becoming part of his many scales. In one sudden burst, the rest of the transformation happened simultaneously, and when all was said and done, Naguri stood before the dog as fifty feet of muscle, bone, and hardened scale, the only chink in his full-body armor being the cut on his right forearm, but when one has six limbs, one is hardly an issue.
His energies had not completed their work, however; the Sanchuudoku and Gekidoku began to mass produce within his still smirking mouth, the bloodied liquid filling the inside for the first of his attacks in this form. Gathering the bacteria-ridden saliva, the komodo demon bunched his muscles before throwing his scaly human torso forward, shooting the bacteria forward in what was likely to be the largest spit ball this dog had ever seen.
Not waiting to see if it hit, the komodo straightened up, beginning to chuckle, a sound much akin to rocks in a blender, “You see, doggy? I can hit from afar, too. If you can’t play nicely, then I’ll just have to teach you some manners. Why don’t you try that whip of your again, now we’re on my terms? I guarantee you’ll not get any more of my blood,” he hissed, grinning wickedly, his fangs crawling with more of the bloodied saliva as he prepared for the rest of the fight. Now, things could get interesting.

As the youkai transformed Sesshoumaru simply stood there staring blankly. His face unfazed at the new sight of the yokai. Was this his true form? If so then it was pathetic to say the least. A komodo dragon was not really one of the strongest beings. No, not at all. Still apparently the enemy was very confident of his form. The form of a hideous reptile. With a sigh he got ready to see how he can win this. His eyes scanning for any sign of weakness in the defense but couldn't find any. Well yet anyway. Kicking the sword up from the ground he put the Tenseiga back and held the new sword. He was not used to it though.
Soon a giant spit came out of the komodo's mouth and towards him. Great, he couldn't find any room to dodge it so he had to take the hit but luckily he had the sword so he didn't take all the damage. Still it was enough to push him causing the grass to be ripped off from the ground. His boots slipped on the wet green blades and the sword came out of his hand and into the air. His arms was givng off smoke from his skin burning. He winced at the pain but was trying to sustain it. He had to end this battle. The marks on his cheeks starts to grow in size as he was starting to tap into his true form in order to heal himself easier just for the moment.
Swiftly he pulled out his father's fang and send as much youki into it. Small lightning shock came out from the sword as he narrowed at the target. Standing straight up and still he raised his sword to eye level and turned it adjacent. "Soryūha."he stated calmly as a lightning surrounded him from the back. A dragon can be seen from the back made out of the same blue lightning. Quickly it came towards the kumodo as destroying whatever was in its path as usual.
Looking at what he had done he walked over to the sword that his hand had let go of and picked it up. Just as he had expected this was a sword made only for dragon youkai. There was no way he can use it. Oh well, it wasn't like he needed to use it anyway. The tenseiga was enough even if it was the fang of that idiot. Throwing the sword gently away he looked back to see if his attack had hit its mark or not.Silently he prayed in his head that it would hit since he can still feel his skin burning and it really stung him.

¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
Say goodbye, as we dance with the Devil tonight.
The air was filled with the rough chuckle of the komodo as his Sanchuudoku struck the other youkai, immediately taking effect on the demon, as he had known it would. What a pathetic display, not being able to dodge that; well, the little doggy had only himself to blame. It wouldn’t be lethal, yet; the Gekidoku mixed with the Sanchuudoku would only take effect if it mixed with the bloodstream. But that was easily remedied; skin could easily be broken to make way for the Gekidoku to do its work.
For someone so large and slow, Naguri was certainly unafraid of fighting on the offensive, even in this form. He was already beginning to plan on the best plan of attack, a way of cornering the little puppy so that he could beat him senseless without chasing him down. Now that would truly be fun.
But what was this? The fool was summoning a dragon to fight a dragon? True, a komodo was merely a lizard, not one of the true dragons, but that hardly made a difference. Sapphire eyes watched with amusement the destruction the beast caused as it approached, fangs bared in a smirk as he began to turn around. It was a laborious process, but it would protect his eyes from any damage, and his scales would do the rest.
He was only a quarter of the way turned when the dragon struck, his human torso twisted so his face was safe as the path of destruction reached him. Twenty five-inch claws simultaneously dug deep into the ground as the dragon worked to hold his ground against the force of the dog’s attack. Even with the force this dragon wrought, it could not penetrate the scales of the komodo; reinforced with his own demonic bones, and aided with his demonic energies, eager to defend him without bidding, the scales held, but this was no simple attack to ward off; the damage was still done. Every muscle along the demon’s back and side ached, but ache he could deal with.
He resumed his turn, his claws freeing themselves from the ground as he spun, expending the demonic energies it took to speed the process; now the other youkai’s attack was finished, he would not wait long for another. The demon twisted his human torso around, the back of his komodo body facing the dog, tail lashing in eagerness as the demonic energies gathered.
“That was quite the stunt, little doggy, but you won’t get away with that again,” he hissed, twenty-five feet of tail wrapping along the length of his body before it lashed out towards the youkai, the scales ripping from it in the process. It ended, a bloody mess, against his right side as the scales flew towards the dog, taking flight through the masses of energy sent into them by Naguri. He grunted quietly, tongue lashing out of his mouth more violently than before as he battled the initial pain of the attack. It soon receded to a dull throb, one he was well used to; he had used this attack many times, it was no more painful than any other time.
Naguri stood, his back turned on the dog, the production of his Sanchuudoku and Gekidoku shut off as he concentrated his demonic energies into his tail; the scales could be replaced. It was a technique one of his ancestors had discovered, this Bokusatsu; using their heavily armored scales as deadly projectiles had been in use for many generations, as it had been discovered long before that the scales will always grow back, with or without the help of demonic energies. But Naguri would need the armor on his tail soon, so he had best get the layer on and soon.
The scales were already reforming on his tail; they’d not be as thick, but they would harden soon. Sapphire gaze turned back towards the dog as the komodo split his demonic energies once more into the production of Sanchuudoku and Gekidoku; now to finish the attack.
Twisting his body, the komodo rapidly gathered the bacterial saliva once again, and sent a second spit ball flying towards the youkai; now would determine the battle, for if the youkai had been cut by even a single scale, the Gekidoku could get easy access to the blood stream. And then, well, no more doggy.
The komodo chuckled deep in his throat; he doubted the little puppy could manage to get himself out of this one…

Lyrics © My Chemical Romance((By the way, even if Sesshoumaru does get hit by a scale and then the saliva, it won’t necessarily be lethal; though Naguri thinks it’s infallible, against a demon as powerful as Sesshoumaru, it could be fought off, though it would still weaken him, just not kill him. *mutters about my own rule crimping my style* Rofl))

Sesshoumaru tired to jump out of the way but couldn't as when he landed there were still more spikes heading his way. He knew that he couldn't dodge them that easily as he grabbed out the sheath. Planting it onto the ground and holding it the sheath provided him a small barrier to deflect the spikes. He was still breathing heavily though but he didn't kneel down to his knees. The ground was calling to him though but his pride would not let him falter, not even for a second. Releasing the sheath from the ground he looked up to see another attack.
Great this youkai was going to keep on attacking him like this. Jumping backwards providing him some space between the spit and himself. Okay he still have a good amount of youki left so it should be good for him. He should have enough to still fight. Yes his healing power had started to heal the burn. It was fully healed but at least it was getting better. Looking at the spit he focused his youki once again towards his finger tips. Jumping up high into the air he use the whip to destroy it.
Okay now it was his turn to attack! Darting towards the youkai he first use to whip to aim at the shell of his body. He needed to make sure that he can constrict him even if it was for a small moment. The burning irritated him though as he can hear his body feeling the pain of the fire. Stupid youkai, to actually dare fight a lord and spit on him like that. He was truly an idiot.
Once again those words appear. Why now out of all time? That stupid question! Why was everything against him? He had nothing to protect! Nothing at all! Protecting all for the weak, that was why his father died and so well that hanyou! To protect a human is to ask for death so why did it keep on appearing? Was his father trying to bring him to hell also? Well he wasn't going to go. Not yet! Not until he became better than him!
The whip dispersed as he went to the front of the youkai. His claws glowed green preparing to strike at the arm. He needed to get somewhere even if it wasn't much of a hit. He just needed to hit right now. This would had been much easier if he had two arms but that stupid hanyou riped it apart. Just like how he had betrayed his clan for not being there in the war between the inu and neko youkai! Just like how he was the cause for the strongest daiyoukais death! His move quicken at the thought of not wanting to lose. Just like every living being he wanted to win.

¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
Don’t you try to take me down.
Well, well, it seemed the dog wasn’t a complete loss; he did have some brains in that girly head of his. But what was this; was that a sheath he was protecting himself with. Sapphire eyes narrowed for the slightest of moments; now this was truly interesting. Hmph, he’d have to find out more about that, if the puppy survived, that is.
But that was not his concern at the moment; the doggy was weakening. He could taste his energies on the air, feel the difference. The Sanchuudoku was still effecting him, despite the fact that it hadn’t reached the bloodstream. Reptilian lips spread into a grin; excellent.
Now that was just no fun at all; he still had enough energy to defend himself from the second dosage of Sanchuudoku. Humph, well, we’ll just have to see how many more times he can pull that off. But for now Naguri would have to fight again on the defensive; as if he really needed to. His scales were the only defense he needed. The komodo watched the youkai, his face impassive as the whip came near to wrap itself around the komodo portion of his body.
The demon laughed as the whip hit and wrapped around, battling the armor that was the youkai’s scales. It was a loosing fight; no mere whip was going to penetrate these scales. But that was not the intent, now was it? Surely the little doggy knew this by now that he could not penetrate the scales. Eyes widened slightly; of course! It was a distraction! The dragon swung his human torso around to face the dog just as he attacked, his arm swung up from reflex to block, allowing the claw to hit the one chink in the youkai’s armor.
Naguri hissed quietly as the claws sunk in, but poison was useless against a creature teeming with bacteria, both good and bad. The bacteria of his mouth was all he had, and his demonic energies rushed the bacteria to the site of the wound, neutralizing the poison, but the damage had been done none the less; the chink in his armor had just gotten much bigger.
Again, Naguri simply laughed at the prospect of more danger; now he had the demon where he wanted him, “You’d think you would learn, but I suppose you can’t teach even a young dog a new trick, eh?” He hissed, his other arm making a grab for his opponent’s arm, still so close. Five-inch claws were all he would need to hold this demon in place; there’s not much chance escaping when a one-ton monster is holding you into place.
Now the little doggy was in the corner Naguri had wanted him in all along. This time he didn’t even hesitate to gather the Sanchuudoku; it was already ready, eager for flesh. Seconds after he had reached for the other youkai, Naguri spat as hard as he could, sending the Sanchuudoku at the demon at as high a speed he could manage. At these close quarters, the demon hardly had a chance to dodge this, especially if Naguri got a hold of his arm. The komodo was smirking already; this battle was surely over.

As the youkai got the hold of Sesshoumaru's only arm he knew that he had no chance of getting out. Still his body struggled and his mind was trying to find anyway to get out if it was even possible. There had to be a way out of this but it required two arms! He can hear a part of him wanting to cut the hanyou's arm the next time they met. He couldn't reach the sheath either so he couldn't summon the barrier. What the hell was he suppose to do now?
As the spit came it hit him as he had no time to get out at all but at least the impact separated him from that komodo. Still a second hit was not good for him. Can he still afford to get hit for the third time? Most likely not so he was going to have to be careful from now on. Hmmm, well the new power of the Tenseiga be enough to kill him and send him into hell? Should he even take the chance or should he wait for another time? As these thoughts ran through his head he can tell that he was going to have to analyze this quickly.
Once again the burning came back along with the old one. Glaring at the youkai he knew that his whips won't be able to do this and apparently he was starting to run out of tricks now. He can't afford a close range combat either so that only leave him with three choices on what he can do. Well maybe four if he can come up with another one. Still the chances of that was low.
Well here came choices one, he forces his youki into his fingers once again and aim at the face. Come on let it hit his face right now, or really his mouth. Wait no! He stopped the whip by closing his fists. He had a better idea now as he did the same thing except he aimed it at the throat. Of course he was ready just in case that didn't work because he might just make a good amount of combo attack. Who knew though. Only time can tell and he didn't have that much of it either.
He didn't care if the whip hit or not as he took out his sheath into his hand right before dashing up once again. He got ready for his poison claws as he now aimed it at the throat. Still just in case the same thing happened once again he had a plan. He still had to be careful but from the looks of it this form depended on its spit so he had to just stop that from happened. Right when he was in front of the youkai he tried to grab the throat instead of hitting it. He just need to grasp it right now.

¡˅¡Nagurikorosu¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Have you heard the news¡˅¡ ¡˅¡That you’re dead?¡˅¡ ¡˅¡I think they never¡˅¡ ¡˅¡Liked you anyway¡˅¡
Don’t you try to take me over.
So, even the little doggy couldn’t summon the speed to get out of that attack, eh? Well, well, it was only a matter of time, now; Naguri had the upper hand, and by the smirk on his reptilian face, he new that perfectly well. “A bit slow, there, doggy. You’d best watch that next time. One more hit and that Sanchuudoku will burn through to your bloodstream, and then it’ll be only a matter of time until your most painful demise,” the reptile hissed, chuckling.
Sapphire gaze watched the youkai as the dog hesitated; what was he thinking, just now? Was he worrying about the girl, whose death would follow his if he didn’t start to do better? Or perhaps his own pathetic existence? Hm; it was hardly fun when the person you fought was so devoid of emotions. And so unskilled. Bah, even the little kitty was a better opponent than this fool; but then, Naguri had already expected that as he went into this; after all, the kitty was still alive despite there many battles.
He watched the whip form and come at him; pathetic, he was trying this again? How very sad; he must be running out of ideas. Well, he would not have to worry about that for much longer; this battle would soon be over; Naguri could almost taste his own success on the air. Not a muscle even moved as the whip approached; let the fool try and cause some damage with the pathetic little attack of his. Naguri knew it wouldn’t work.
The scales on a komodo dragon’s throat were thinner than those on the rest of the body, but were layered into many folds; after all, the throat had to expand to make room for the large chunks of their prey which they ate at a time. Komodo dragons couldn’t chew, after all. Even as the whip hit, it merely constricted the folds of the scales, not even fazing the komodo.
Even as the whip dissipated, the dog leapt into action, and Naguri watched as he came at his throat. Well, well; perhaps the doggy did know a thing or two about lizards; folds or not, the throat scales would be easier to pierce, if not to constrict. Naguri did not have the superior speed which would be required to stop the attack; instead, he simple stood still as the youkai hit, grabbing hold of his throat. But what was this? Instead of tearing at the thinner scale, he merely grabbed the throat. Now that was hardly going to work.
Even as the youkai’s claws pierced through some of the folds, the pressure of the hold was not enough to effect any deeper than the scales. The dragon’s rough chuckle filled the air again as the komodo shook his head slightly; hold on the throat or not, the lizard’s folds of scales kept the other youkai from restricting his movement. And now he had come close again.
Five-inch claws are certainly nothing to joke about, and when one has ten of them at their disposal, saliva is certainly not their only attack. Left arm reached up, making a grab for the youkai’s arm so he could keep him from escaping, while his right arm shot out for his opponent’s throat; the little doggy hardly had multiple layers of scale to protect him from being strangled, or to stop the cutting force of the five-inch claws which served as the dragon’s fingers. Strangling would hardly be the only thing the other youkai had to worry about if his claws caught hold of him.
