the Identity
First Name: Sesshoumaru
Surname: Taisho
Alias: Lord of the Western Lands
Age: over 700
Gender: Male
Race: Inugami Daiyoukai
the Combatant
Powers/Weapons: Sesshoumaru exhibits the basic powers of a demon, such as strength, speed and agility, but his has more powers native only to his race.
Poison claw - releases a deadly poison and evaporates into a suffocating cloud of poisonous smoke.
Whip of light:- A long illumated whip that serves Sesshoumaru in long range combat.
Mokomoko - the huge furry thing hanging over his shoulder is apart of his body. It can serve as a weapon to whip or constrict.
Tensaiga- The sword of heaven that was given to Sesshoumaru by his father. The sword has the ability to bring people back from death.
Tokijin- A demonic sword that Sesshoumaru had made for him by Kaijinbo. It is strong and deadly. It's most lethal attack is Soryuha.
Strengths (physical): When engaged in battle, Sesshoumaru is always cool and calm. His thoughts are collected even during difficulties, and his body moves as though it requires no effort on his part. His maneuvers almost seem to be a part of his instinctual reflex especially since you never see him hesitate or fret about which move to make. Moreover, he rarely shows any emotions while fighting, and he's unfazed even when hit. Reading someone's reactions in a battle can often help a fighter analyze the opponent's moves and in this sense, it makes Sesshoumaru an even more difficult opponent to anticipate.
Regardless of what he may be doing or looking at, Sesshoumaru always seems to know what's happening around him. He's extremely observant of his surroundings and reacts very quickly to respond to them- it's as though nothing ever surprises him.
Because Sesshoumaru always have full control and use of his body, this tends to put him at a far advantage in a battle. His speed is incredible and he dodges attacks so easily it's like second nature to him. He's capable of moving faster than the eye can see and this often takes his enemies by surprise. In one blink of an eye, he can be in an entirely different point of space from a moment ago. Giving his speed even more advantage is his capability to control his body by levitating himself and maneuvering mid-air with the same kind of grace. From mid-air, he can continue to attack while making it difficult for his opponents to reach him.
Weaknesses(physical): Sesshoumaru's biggest weakness is that he overestimates his abilities and doesn't evalute his foes. He also has a heart for his companions, their safety could mean victory or defeat.
the Body
Appearance:
He has super long about almost knee-length silver/ivory-whitish colored hair with beautiful amberish golden/yellow eyes. He can also be easily recognized by the markings on this face: a Prussian blue crescent moon, the two magenta stripes on each side of his cheeks, and the red markings on his eyelids. On his wrists are matching magenta stripes to the ones that are on his face. He also has pointy elfish look-alike ears and sharp fingernails that are almost like claws. The fur on his shoulder can be extended to great lengths and used to whip or constrict people. Sesshoumaru’s armor includes a spiked pauldron that covers his left shoulder attached to the upper section of his cuirass. When damaged, his armor automatically regenerates itself using demon energy.[6] Both his armor and his long flowing sash have a decided "Mainland" (Asian) influence, as opposed to the customary Japanese armor and Obi (sash or belt). His Kimono is mostly white with a red (purple or blue in the manga) honeycomb and flower crest at the collar, sleeves, and shoulder, most likely the crest of his family clan. He wears Sashinuki Hakama, (a type of traditional flowing Japanese "pants"), which are gathered at the ankles producing the "ballooning" effect. His footwear consists of flat pointed ankle-high boots (instead of sandals), also reminiscent of Mainland influence.
In his dog form, he retains the Prussian blue crescent moon on his forehead though the stripes on his cheeks merges and "wraps" around the edge of his jaw. His eyes go red and his ears become very floppy. His fur is white just like his hair though there are areas that look a bit gray. If you look at his form carefully, you'll notice that there's actually also an extra piece of fur that wraps around his right shoulder and then around his body. That's kinda interesting because as we all know, he's got that boa-look-alike thingy around his right shoulder in his human form. It makes me think that they're really the same thing except in his dog form, it's obviously bigger and more unruly which makes them look like white flames. He also has matching white "flames" around each of his paws.
After he transforms, everyone else is basically only about the size of his paws. Even though he's already really big, he's actually believed to still be only a puppy. His father's dog form was much much larger- as shown on some memory clips and his massive tomb/bones- and because of this, there has been some contemplation about whether Sesshoumaru is a full-grown youkai yet.

the Mind
Personality:At first glance, he appears to be cold, calm, always collected, and confident to the point of arrogancy. He has also been mentioned by Jaken as someone who's a very proud person and no matter what it may look like on the outside, he'd actually be seething inside if he were to ever be made a fool off. He is not one to forget transgressions, and he will chase his ‘prey’ for years if that is what it takes. But he is not one to easily give that up. In the end he always gets his revenge on who ever it was that wronged him. Although contrary to popular believe wronging him is actually a bit difficult. People like Kagura have been see calling him names, even calling him a coward. But in those instances he did not let it affect him. He seems to have the intellect to know when to actually be offended.
His character is actually quite a mystery as you're never sure of what to expect from him. He may appear cold-hearted but his actions sometimes raises the questions. He seems to be a man with few words...and when he does talk, there is no such thing as beating around the bush. He gets right to the point...blunt and clear. Sometimes, he may appear to seem sarcastic in his word choice especially when talking to Inuyasha. He always speaks his mind, and doesn't care about consequences or who's feelings it hurts.
When you first meet him all he inspires from you is grandeur, then fright. Sesshoumaru can be scary if he puts his mind to it, hell he's scary even when he doesn't. He's also not one to hide behind anyone or send minions to do his dirty work. In fact, he's not one to do what you would call "sneaky" things or resort to "dirty" tactics at all.
As a prince and now a Lord he's used to getting what he wants. Which makes him a bit spoiled. But he also has great hurt, which he hides. It's not easy for someone to see the feelings he hides, you have to be with him a long time to see the subtle changes in his face. But he always keeps that emotionless mask on so this will not be easy.
Although Sesshoumaru is typically viewed as the cold-hearted villain, he is much more than that. He is very powerful, arrogant, stoic, and commonly mistaken for a girl. His choice of traveling companions imply that somewhere underneath that cool exterior, he does indeed have a heart.
When looking at him, his whole being exudes a powerful aura and he carries himself as though he is above it all. He also isn't fond of humans and often look down upon them or "see them as insects" as Inuyasha once described. However he did revive a human girl "Rin", and is currently taking care of her. He also went so far as to rescue her from Naraku, he almost lost his perfect control of his emotions when he saw Rin on the ground, he almost went into his dog form, but stopped at the very last moment. But it was the first time we saw him clearly pissed. The second time was during the battle with Suikotsu and Jakotsu at Mnt. Hakurei, he lost control again and we could all see that he was pissed at the fact that Suikotsu was about to kill Rin. So while he may say he hates humans, he clearly doesn't. Of course when asked he will say he doing it all out of duty. Since in his view he revived the girl; Then it is clearly his duty to look after her.
He also shows great ego, but even this is cracking do to the fights he has lost to his brother, and the arm. In earlier times he also believed his father loved Inuyasha best, that greatly added the cracking in his ego. But after all he has seen and reflected on all the trouble his father went through. He realized his father was doing what was best for him. He has finally learned compassion, and finally sees that loving someone is not a weakness but a strength. Although it took him a lot of heartache and headaches to do so; and this by no means implies he will be doing so to just anyone. For he still thinks very highly of himself and of course those who will be allowed to be with him also have to be of the same caliber.
Strengths (emotional): He can keep his emotions under complete control although there have been unique situations that have pushed him to the edge, he managed to play it cool.
Weaknesses (emotional):He often keeps his cold exterior to prevent his emotions from being exploited but it is sometimes a task to keep his emotions in tune. He feels very strongly for honor, his father and companions that any threat to them coud be a chance for weakness.

Background Story: Sesshoumaru was born to powerful Inugami daiyoukai parents, both of which names are unknown. He grew up a strict life, with lessons to learn from both parents. The Inu no Taisho surely taught his son of honor, values and the way of the sword, taking out the little Sesshoumaru on many excursions. His mother likely taught him manners and formalities, for one day he would need these tools as the Prince of Western lands. Although his parents loved him very much perhaps Sesshoumaru didn't believe they did because of their distance and teachings. As a result he grew to become cold and arrogant. His relationship with his father is better observed, Sesshoumaru was happy to be at his father's side as a child and although he was not raised the typical way a child might be raised he was honored by his upbrining.
In his early teens, Sesshoumaru left the castle to explore, forsaking his mother's relationship. At this time Sesshoumaru believed that he had surpassed his mother and thinks very little of her. He doesn't see her again for sometime. Sesshoumaru begins to travel the lands of Japan, even venturing into China to gain experience and intellect. Several times he meets up with his father and battle together against common foes. The Inu no Taisho then tells his son of a specific journey that Sesshoumaru must take in order to become a full fledged daiyoukai. Sesshoumaru hungry for power goes off without thinking the situation through, he is nearly killed but manages to come back alive. Sesshoumaru has learned a valuable lesson, but he is destined to make the same mistakes again.
After his return from his journey Sesshoumaru goes to seek his father but learns that he has been courting a human female. Disgusted by his father's betrayal to their kind he decides no to tell him about his victory. Their relationship from then on is rocky at best. Self-proclaimed daiyoukai Sesshoumaru goes on a hunt for more power even as going as far to confront his father about the Sounga and Tetsusaiga. This is their last encounter before the Inu no Taisho dies. Not long after Sesshoumaru is given the Tensaiga.
Angry at the gesture, but honoring his father's wishes he takes the Tensaiga, but intends to find the Tensaiga.
After some meticulous searching he finally learns of the whereabouts of the Tetsusaiga and confronts his borther for it. They battle in their father's graveyard, but Sesshoumaru's careless behavior leaves him with a severed arm.
After awhile Sesshoumaru decides to gain a new power to match the Tetsusaiga and has a sword made for him called the Tokijin. It also happens that a little human girl is in companionship with Sesshoumaru and Jaken
